No doubt about it. Linux is the fastest operating system in use today. And you can have it all for free. Ever since its humble beginnings, written by a guy crazed with the bite of a charging penguin, Linux has improved by leaps and bounds.

So... why?
Reading several times a whole article I do not understand why it is so fastest. And what an author means by "fastest"? I undertand only that it (Linux) runs on everything: from smallest devices to huge supercomputers. I fully agree with that. But there is question "why it runs..." and again no answer. Absolutely nothing, just a fact that (GNU)/Linux is everywhere.
An article has a high spirit and it shows that kernel of open source is people. It shows a fact (do you like it or not) that it is everywhere. But in common it nothing says about subject and many questions that appear in it.
