The Microsoft boosters spread GNU/Linux FUD even upon the release of Firefox 3.6 while Novell and Microsoft groom another journalist for coverage of their joint products and glorification of their patent deal

"Not since SCO has there been a company so reviled by the open source community as Novell following its deal with Microsoft.

Given the outcry in the open-source community over the coupon deal Novell struck with Microsoft, you can only begin to imagine the mother of all rumpuses that would ensue if SUSE actually ended up in the Redmond bed, but these things have a habit of dying down eventually. What happens if Microsoft doesn't buy Novell, and SUSE gets sold off to somebody else?

I bet you never thought you would hear the term 'Microsoft Office for Linux' associated with 'reality,' but it looks like it just might happen - well, indirectly at least.

On the back of defending the agreement this week, Novell did as promised and published details of its landmark November 2006 Linux partnership agreements with Microsoft.

Over two years ago, Microsoft and Novell signed an interoperability deal. Part of this agreement was a patent deal that suggested that Linux infringed on Microsoft's IP.
