GNU/Linux should not become a "Windows application"
This is well intentioned, but I'm not sure that giving new users the impression that "Ubuntu is almost a Windows application" is a good idea. It spreads a confusing message that GNU/Linux is somehow dependent upon Windows or will only run within it, which is quite misleading.
A better idea might be to make a screencast showing for example how to change the BIOS settings to boot from CD and how to install the GNU/Linux OS. This would help to give new users more confidence that it's a simple process.
