Very clever. Malware is a big argument against buying that other OS and for switching to Linux. There are a number of other fronts on which it can be argued that Linux is a better choice: malware, cost, lock-in, monopoly pricing, freedom to use PCs and software, ownership of data, open standards, and ease of installation. Linux wins if the buyer has a choice. To "sell" Linux, we have to advertise the choice. That is happening with recent moves by the OEMs. The monopoly is a house of cards. As soon as a number of users of PCs builds another house the old one falls down. The size of the old house can hold it together for a time but the crash will be bigger when it comes.
