People like this really annoy me. Firstly, the author is smug. I want to know what HE does in his own way to help. If he doesn't do anything but complain, and never actually does anything to help the world's poor, then he should just shut up. He also infers that nobody can say anything bad about the OLPC... yeah right! The OLPC has been copping it from day one with people gloating about how badly it was going to do, how it was riddled with flaws, and how they laughed when it was the $200 laptop!
Furthermore, it is incredibly important for kids to be fed. Undeniably so. But an education and an understanding of the global community is going to help them in later life, possibly give them an opportunity to escape the poverty trap. Leave the OLPC alone, unless you're actually contributing to the solution.

One guy with an attitude certainly doesn't change the world
