Not News about Free Software
I've already covered this topic in a different link. Basically, I question how this action is supposed to harm the open source community. http://www.fsdaily.com/Opposition/Microsoft_s_deceptive_advertising_agai...
To me, all this **speculation** of possible MS conspiracies is a waste of energy for the free software community; it would be much better spent educating the world about liberty. **If you live in freedom, then you'd understand that Microsoft has little control over your life** (this also applies to other software proprietors). If you don't live in freedom, I'd greatly suggest you give up the shackles that hold you back and invest your efforts to moving to freedom. Do this and you will no longer live subject to any software master.
If you subscribe to the notion of open source, you should be aware that open source is not intended to promote freedom. Instead, it is intended to promote a way of developing useful computer programs. How Microsoft intends to subvert that notion, I don't know. Please enlighten me if anybody knows of a concrete way for Microsoft to subvert open source. This concrete way should be based upon documented actions that show good reason how (not why) MS will subvert open source.
