Thousands of the Linux faithful will converge on San Francisco's Moscone Center next week (Aug. 4-7) for the LinuxWorld conference and expo and the accompanying Next Generation Data Center show. Everything from cool hand-held devices to data center-class servers -- and the open-source software to run them -- will be on display and put through their paces on the show floor.
SourceForge, Inc., the leader in community-driven media and e-commerce, today announced the finalists of its second annual SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards. The awards recognize open source projects which not only have the most supportive community following, but also those which the SourceForge.net community's members believe are built with the highest quality, productivity and ingenuity.

Microsoft wants you to believe that their products are all you should ever have. Apple has been around as long as Microsoft, and are known for making elegant, stylish, user-friendly computers and other products. There is a third option, and that is the one that I prefer-- nice friendly, stout Linux desktop systems.
When you received a favor from someone, you show your appreciation. When you love someone, you also show your appreciation. Now, Linus Torvalds did all of us a favor by releasing that Linux source code in year 1991 and we all love Linux, so how are we going to show our appreciation?
