I bumped into gotProject a couple of days ago and find the concept very intriguing. Put simply, this web service binds the different aspects of research into one simple interface. It allows users to save links, search google, take notes, work with friends, and publish their projects through an ajax interface. I believe it provides a better alternative to the standard method of research, which leaves me opening many tabs, clipping text into word, and many other inconveniences. Its free to use, and I only needed a username and password to register.

As a side note, I would not spend any time using the light version, since the full version is much more advanced, and registration takes about 10 seconds.
