From the same report earlier we made about the next Android phone comes yet another revelation. Some new shots & specs exclusive to iMAndroid have emerged. The pics are of Neo FreeRunner device running Android Platform. A little fuzzy, but its very likely that Neo FreeRunner will be the second Android Phone!

Less that one week after going on sale via its own e-commerce site, the 900MHz version of OpenMoko's Neo FreeRunner Linux phone has sold out, but don't despair yet as more are on the way.

Openmoko has begun shipping its Linux-based, open source Neo Freerunner phone to five newly announced distributors, in Germany, France, and India, says the company. The Neo Freerunner features an open hardware design, and a Linux-based operating system that users are free to modify.

Openmoko, creator of the first completely open mobile computing platform, today announced agreements with five distributors for the Neo Freerunner Open Source mobile phone. Today, Openmoko will begin shipping the next generation Neo Freerunner to Pulster, Golden Delicious Computers and TRIsoft located in Germany, Bearstech in France and IDA Systems based in India.

Out in the blogosphere (which we believe is somewhere near "the Internets,") the OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner is getting unpacked, photographed, and examined. On Holden Karau's blog, he describes difficulties getting the FreeRunner working with an AT&T SIM card, but dubs the voice quality "pretty awesome."

OpenMoko will start selling its Linux-based Neo FreeRunner phone online on July 4th, says the company. Billed as a completely open source, hackable hardware platform, the Neo FreeRunner will receive updated software with new location-based applications in August, says OpenMoko.
