The Bordeaux Technology Group released Bordeaux 1.8.2 for FreeBSD today. Bordeaux 1.8.2 adds support for Apple's QuickTime 6.5.2 Player, IrfanView 4.25 the extreamly popular image viewer and editor. This release aslo bundles in Cabextract, Wget and Unzip to remove external dependencies.

Steven Edwards of the Bordeaux Technology Group released Bordeaux 1.8 for FreeBSD today. Bordeaux 1.8 has had many changes on the back end, our build process has been totally rewritten, packaging has been totally rewritten. This release adds Microsoft Office 97, Adobe Photoshop 6 & 7 and Image Ready 3.0 and 7.0 support.
The FreeBSD development team has silently created the RELENG_7 branch. This is an important step in the release process of FreeBSD 7.
Ken Smith has also told that the team will shift to time-based release cycles now on, instead of feature-based ones.
The first Beta for FreeBSD 7.2 has been released, updating network drivers as well as some threading libraries. The FreeBSD 7.2 release is the first point upgrade since the 7.1 release which became generally available in January of this year. The final release of FreeBSD 7.2 is currently scheduled for the first week of May.
