This article just resurrects all
This article just resurrects all the old arguments against GNU/Linux that I've been hearing for the last decade - doesn't support games, some missing drivers, too difficult for your granny, etc.
Arguments like this are often made by people who have never really used anything other than Windows. It should be remembered that there are plenty of complicated problems which occur on the Windows operating system which baffle grannies around the world, such as the endless tirade of malware/spyware and other junk.
GNU/Linux is ready for "the average user", and I think this is evidenced by some of the major retailers installing it by default on some of the PCs they sell. I wouldn't currently recommend it as a games platform, but I know plenty of people who do not use their computers primarily for playing games, instead using them more as a communications device to keep in touch with friends and family.
