Linux is a hacker’s dream computer operating system. It supports tools and utilities for cracking passwords, scanning network vulnerabilities, and detecting possible intrusions.
Which Distro is the one to go with If one has never dabbled in Linux. Keeping in mind that once I do get the hang of it I can always upgrade to something more advanced. but for now I want to learn which would mean something that is more straight forward and easy to grasp.
So in an effort to learn the instrument better, I borrowed my dad’s electronic keyboard, and sat down to try to learn it... network management on linux differs from distro to distro. trying various of these i liked what SuSE did over the year. they included a network manager like applet ‘knetwork’ with kde 3 which even included isdn (ppp) links. but NM does a very bad job if things don’t work. there is no debugging possible.
