Mozilla has announced that Firefox Sync, formerly known as Weave, has graduated from Mozilla Labs to become an official part of the roadmap for Firefox

Mozilla have announced Firefox Home, an iPhone application which is a read only view of Sync for Firefox (formerly Mozilla Labs Weave)

Last month Mozilla Labs announced a new concept series on online identity. As part of this exploration, we developed the Account Manager. The Account Manager makes it incredibly easy for users to create new accounts with optional randomly generated passwords, and log into and out of them with just a click.

Firefox for Mobile (codenamed Fennec) is the name of the build of the Mozilla Firefox web browser for smaller non-PC devices, mobile phones and PDAs. Firefox for mobile 1.0 uses the same version of the Gecko layout engine as Firefox 3.6.

I got up this morning and saw this, which led me to a pretty serious WTF moment, all before having my morning coffee.

I love Firefox. Addons (extensions and themes) are the icing on the foxy cake. However, installation always requires a restart. Firefox needs to take a leaf out of Opera's book and install and run without a restart.

However, weep no more with envy at Opera. You can now add and run themes dynamically in Firefox with the Persona extensions. Once installed you can change themes on the fly. These themes are accessed online from Mozilla Labs. Easy and lots of fun. Follow the link above and try them out

If you like to customize your applications' appearance, then Firefox themes probably haven't impressed you. Although there are hundreds of themes available, typically all they allow users to do is change the icons and background color of your browser -- not too exciting. Personas for Firefox offers a new way to customize the browser.

Although Firefox 3.5 (formerly Firefox 3.1) is still in beta, Mozilla is already developing Firefox 3.6 code-named Namoroka. Slated for an early-to-mid 2010 release, the browser will be marketed as Firefox.next (FX) moniker in a nod to new technologies set to take Firefox to the next level.
