Glade is a RAD tool to enable quick & easy development of user interfaces for the GTK+ toolkit and the GNOME desktop environment, released under the GNU GPL License.

For the last couple of ubuntu versions, gnome-screensaver, which is also the gnome screen-locking program, has been using gtkbuilder .ui files for configuration; unfortunately almost all of the third-party themes (e.g. on gnome-look.org) use .glade files. After a while of using vi I started to appreciate it's tremendous power. Nowadays I use it whenever I can. I must say vi has a steep learning curve but when you get past the first steps and have the feeling of the interface it's an incredible time-saver.
