This article shows how you can install and use PDFedit on an Ubuntu Feisty Fawn desktop. PDFedit is a free and open-source editor for manipulating PDF documents.

PDFedit is a free opensource editor for PDF documents. Complete editing of PDF documents is possible with PDFedit. You can change raw pdf objects (for advanced users) or use many gui functions. Functionality can be easily extended using a scripting language (ECMAScript).

At the moment PDFedit has to come from the getdeb site, but when Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon comes out in October, PDFedit will be included in the repositories.

One of the things I like about Linux is the command line. I have used nautilus, konqueror, and thunar to manage files in Linux and these file managers are great for what they do. But there are times when one simply wants to find a file when working on the command line without having to open a GUI application.
